Chriwa Group - Water matters. We care.

Mineral water and beverages

Many table waters on the market, especially mineral and medicinal waters, are highly mineralised and often contain components that must or have to be removed for aesthetic or health reasons.

Due to the high mineralisation, this is often not easy or, for example, not permitted as a targeted measure when the water is designated as "natural mineral water". However, intelligent process management and selection of the filter material usually lead to the desired success.

Purity and composition according to the German Mineral and Table Water Ordinance

The German Mineral and Table Water Ordinance (MTVO) defines the difference between natural mineral water, spring water and table water. Only if the guidelines are met can mineral water be officially recognised and the product be put on the market. To ensure that the water always has the desired quality, it must be treated with different processes depending on the source. Elements such as iron and manganese are filtered out or the water is refined using special degassing plants.

Chriwa plants guarantee the preservation of the original purity and composition in accordance with the German Mineral and Table Water Ordinance and the internationally applicable, country-specific regulations.

Constant product quality is required here

In the beverage industry, strict regulations guard the purity and harmlessness of foodstuffs for human consumption. Water is an essential ingredient for their production. Depending on the quality of water available at the beginning of the production process, various processes are used to decisively increase the product quality of the food.

In the production of soft drinks, lemonades or juices, excellent, consistent water quality and product water standards are essential to ensure that the end product always reliably has the same taste. Different water treatment processes are used here, depending on the type of raw water, the water chemical conditions and the product requirements.
