Degassing / gas stripping

Unwanted foreign gases such as CO2 , methane or hydrogen sulphide in the water lead to disturbance of the biology in the filter tanks, to a reduction in the deferrisation and demanganisation performance and to taste and odour problems in the foreign water.

With the help of various physical and desorption processes, which are generally based on the utilisation of Henry's Law, our team offers the highest treatment results in the removal of foreign gases from your raw water. Strippers, vacuum degassing, atomisation towers, packed bed trickling filters or dry filters, among others, are used for this purpose.

Stripping here refers to the removal of volatile contaminants from liquids by means of expulsion by means of gas bubbling (cf. flotation), circulation, gas or steam feed.
