Breweries
The essence of beer: "the malt its soul, the water its body."
Over 90 percent of beer is pure water. So it's no surprise that the quality of the water is crucial to the taste and quality of a good beer. This is also how philosophers interpret the essence of beer: the malt as its soul, the water as its body.
But water doesn't just play the main role as the most important raw material in beer. Water of different qualities is required in the brewery in countless other production and ancillary processes.
Individual requirements for each brewery
What does the master brewer want? The requirements for brewing water are individual and therefore require tailor-made water treatment. Ale, Pilsener, Weizen and other types of beer require their own brewing water mixtures, otherwise there are problems with all properties such as color, taste and smell. In addition, the raw water from each location is different and requires its own analysis and adjustment. This is the only way to guarantee a consistent taste of the product always and everywhere. The processes used are very similar to those in the other beverage industry.
In addition to the product water, however, a large amount of water will be used for any possible bottle cleaning. The use of treated water can be significantly reduced through additional reprocessing.
Mineral water and beverages
In the beverage industry, strict regulations ensure the purity and safety of food for human consumption. Depending on the raw water quality, various processes are used to significantly increase the product quality.
Technologies
The wide range of Chriwa water treatment technologies allows the individual and reliable treatment of various raw water qualities into product water that is optimally tailored to the respective process.
