The reprocessing of water into process water in the industrial sector or the treatment of wastewater for discharge into public waters (CUSS) is part of the holistic solution approach in many of our projects.
Many factors speak in favour of a downstream treatment process for process wastewater. For example, process water in industry or pool water in swimming pools can continue to be used in the process after reprocessing. This reduces the consumption of raw materials as well as the user fees incurred and, from an ecological point of view, sustainably conserves the valuable resource of water. Depending on the location, discharge fees can be saved in this way if the quality of the recycled water is good.
In many of our projects, we switch on reprocessing in order to exploit even more potential from water that has already been used. For some projects, such a sustainable process is very important to get the most out of limited water resources. For example, we have already installed concentrate recovery plants several times, where we use reverse osmosis to extract water from the previously produced concentrate before it is discharged.
Similarly, we have also supplied a recycling plant for a bottling plant to reuse the water from bottle rinsing, thus saving a lot of water.
